Francesc Guàrdia and Ignasi Veciana found their office in 1980. In collaboration with experts from different professional areas they develop architectural, town planning projects, as well as several industrial design proposals. Their professional experience includes projects on different scales and typologies: individual and collective housing, school and sanitary building, offices, public equipments, and urban development planning.

Francesc Guàrdia is also an expert in theatre architecture and scenic equipments. (www.playstands.es)

Their involvement in investigation has led them to develop industrialized systems for wood construction, that can be implemented in collective housing, educational and sanitary equipments (www.ca2d.cat). Another project under study is the industrialization of theatre hall including facilities that can be adapted to different containers.
One of the main goals of the office is to take part in national and international architectural competitions, especially in public areas.

A few examples of public recognition, such as the Medal and Special Mention of the Council of Europe for the urban planning intervention in Palafrugell town center, the Bonaplata Award for the Sabadell Design School, the “Prague Quadrennial” silver medal for the “Teatre Lliure” in Barcelona, or the Award “City of Cornellà for Conception and Economy” for the “Citypark” office building, as well as other awards and mentions in competitions. A few completed projects have been published in architectural magazines.
